Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.
We’re looking for a detail-driven and deadline-oriented Accountant to collaborate with the Finance team in the execution of our core accounting functions. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial records, from managing fixed assets and job costing to supporting audits and tax filings. You’ll be a key player in our monthly close process and an essential contributor to keeping our in compliance with GAAP.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
- Review vendor payments for accuracy and appropriate documentation before processing
- Perform detailed account coding and job costing to ensure precise expense allocation across departments and projects
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to maintain accurate financial data
- Support cash flow management efforts by tracking transactions and assisting with forecasting
- Manage fixed assets from acquisition through disposal, including calculating and posting depreciation
- Serve as a liaison during external audits by compiling data and responding to auditor requests
- Prepare and submit timely sales tax returns in compliance with multi-jurisdictional regulations
- Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support accounting system enhancements or upgrades
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians, engineers, and operators
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive, bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
- Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute
- Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment
- Proven experience managing detailed job costing to support accurate project budgeting and financial tracking
- Knowledgeable in multi-jurisdictional sales tax compliance
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Compensation for this role is between $80,000 - $98,000 annually
- This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus, recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
- In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws, the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.
