Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Process Engineer to support innovative technologies in Fair Oaks, Indiana!  

 

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. 

 

As a boots on the ground Process Engineer, you’ll be able to drive process optimization by analyzing, developing, and refining manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality in real time. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support the commissioning and validation of process systems. Utilizing data analysis and industry best practices to ensure compliance, drive innovation, you will regularly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at a cutting-edge facility.  

 

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position: 

  • Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing and process systems to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to enhance reliability and throughput
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for process control
  • Ensure accuracy in critical system documentation and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Assist in commissioning, testing, and validation of new and existing process systems
  • Utilize data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to identify trends and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
  • Lead or support projects related to process scale-up, cost reduction, and technology improvements
  • Educate and provide recommendations regarding safety, permitting, and process improvement
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization, quality control, or production support
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience in manufacturing environments (e.g., chemical processing, petrochemical, pulp and paper, or water treatment).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance for chemical manufacturing (e.g., EPA, OSHA, FDA, or equivalent)
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience for process improvement 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • Wage range for this role is between $85,000 – $120,000 annually 
  • Travel up to 15% to support multiple facilities  
  • Discretionary bonus
  • The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
