Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Senior Asset Integrity Engineer to work remotely within the United States!
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.
The Asset Integrity Engineer is a senior-level technical expert responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of critical assets and equipment within industrial operations. This role focuses on maintaining compliance with industry standards, optimizing design for strength and efficiency, and mitigating risks associated with structural and mechanical failures. This position requires ownership of entire projects from concept to completion, including design, procurement, modeling, BOM management, commissioning, and final delivery. Like a subject matter expert who also drives projects to the finish line. Acting as a subject matter expert, the engineer will provide recommendations for improvements while mentoring other engineers and influencing best practices.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
- Ensures critical assets (pressure vessels, pipelines, tanks, rotating equipment, etc.) comply with industry codes, standards, and regulations and are designed and built as efficiently as possible (longevity, robustness, lean, etc.).
- Develops and executes inspection, testing, and maintenance plans (e.g., risk-based inspection).
- Apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other modeling techniques to evaluate design performance under static, thermal, and dynamic loads
- Assesses degradation mechanisms such as corrosion, fatigue, creep, or cracking.
- Ensures assets are designed, operated, and maintained in a way that prevents catastrophic failure.
- Recommend upgrades, replacements, or design improvements to optimize reliability and extend asset life.
- Investigate asset failures and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assess degradation mechanisms and develop mitigation strategies to prevent catastrophic failures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical advisor to engineering teams.
- Indirectly lead and mentor engineers on asset integrity principles, design best practices, and inspection methodologies.
- Support budgeting, scope definition, and planning for integrity-related projects.
- Drive initiatives that enhance process safety and operational reliability.
- Provide strategic input on long-term asset integrity management and lifecycle planning.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring delivery from initial concept through procurement, fabrication, commissioning, and operational handoff.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians, engineers, and operators.
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive, bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work.
- Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute.
- Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.
