Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Operations Engineering Manager to work remotely!  
 
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. 
 
Sedron is seeking an experienced Operations Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for overseeing engineering projects, capital investments, and the Operations project portfolio within our operating plant facilities. This role serves as the primary liaison between Plant Operations and Engineering, ensuring alignment on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects while driving strategic initiatives to optimize plant performance. 
  
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:  
 
•    Lead and manage a cross-functional team to oversee capital projects, plant modifications, and process optimization efforts within operating facilities. 
•    Act as the primary interface between Operations and Engineering, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment on EPC projects. 
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and consultants, to ensure successful project execution. 
•    Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
•    Oversee the execution of EPC projects, providing strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure projects meet performance standards, safety requirements, and operational needs. 
•    Own and manage the Operations gate review process, ensuring project readiness and alignment with business objectives at each stage. 
•    Develop and manage the Operations project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives, preparing business cases for capital investments, and ensuring resource allocation aligns with plant goals, timelines, and budgets. 
•    Monitor project progress, facilitate communication between Operations and Engineering, and resolve challenges to keep projects on track. 
•    Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on plant operations and project outcomes. 
•    Collaborate with Engineering to define project scopes, develop detailed designs, and implement plant upgrades, modifications, and expansions. 
•    Evaluate engineering proposals, ensuring plant-specific operational needs are addressed in project designs and execution plans. 
•    Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental guidelines. 
•    Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in biomanufacturing, engineering, and plant operations, integrating innovative solutions into projects. 
•    Drive process improvements and plant optimization strategies using data-driven analysis to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. 
•    Advocate for operational priorities, ensuring that safety, sustainability, and production goals are embedded in all project planning and execution efforts. 
•    Work closely with Operations teams to troubleshoot issues, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and implement best practices. 
•    Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives 
•    Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike 
•    Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks 
•    Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance 
•    Perform other related duties as assigned 
 
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and manager discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  
•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field 
•    10+ years of experience in engineering, operations, or project management within a manufacturing or industrial environment 
•    Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in plant operations, capital projects, or EPC execution 
•    Strong understanding of project management principles, capital budgeting, and operational optimization strategies 
•    Proven ability to collaborate across departments and drive alignment between Engineering and Operations 
•    Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills 
•    Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements 
•    Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
•    Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field 
•    Experience in biomanufacturing, water treatment, or related process industries 
•    Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Six Sigma 
•    Experience with CMMS, ERP, or other plant management systems 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
•    Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures 
•    Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time 
 
 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 
•    Wage range for this role is between $130,000 - $165,000 annually  
•    Discretionary bonus 
•    Requires willingness to travel approximately 30% to support Operations 
•    The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
