Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Robot Weld Cell Technician & Fabricator

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position: 

 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Confidence in using HMIs and robot/CNC controllers
  • Programming and troubleshooting of robotic arms both offline and on pendants
  • Play a role in the development and implementation of training programs for the cell
  • Maintain safety around robots, lasers, welders; use lock out tag out as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and communicate with procurement and planning staff
  • Participate in development and continuous improvement of processes
  • Work with quality program manager to maintain compliance with ASME pressure vessel code
  • Regular use of forklift and lifting devices to load, transport and manipulate parts
  • Maintain, clean and organize work areas
  • Prioritize critical path activities and manage multiple challenging deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and fabricators 
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Three or more years’ experience with CNC mills, press brake, robotics, and control systems
  • Three or more years’ MIG/TIG experience required
  • Laser welding experience desired
  • Exposure to some robotics desired, extensive experience is ideal
  • Exposure to automated systems/PLCs/HMI desired
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Wage range for this role is between $28.00-$40.00/hourly
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. 
  • The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
